See A. H. SAYCE - The new neo-Phrygian inscriptions for the meaning 'son of Proitos'. However, it seems Babas is the son of Memes (Memevais) and not 'Proitos', so the word has some relation to Ktiyanaveyos (city of Tyana). Governor maybe?  |
