Iphimedeia Attested in Homers Odyssey in the catalogue of women. In this passage howeer Ifimedeia is clearly a mortal. She was the wife of Aloeus and bore two children Otos and Ephialtes. Based on the fact that Iphimedeia had children resulting from a union with a god, it has been suggested that Iphimedeia can be viewed as a heroine similar to such figures as Tyro, Alcmene and Leda. |
