this hypothesis was substantiated in Adiego (1995:18–21) by the Lycian-Greek-Aramaic inscription of Xanthos (Lycia, N 320), wherein the Carian divinity “King of Kaunos” appears in Aramaic as KNDWÍ (KNDWS). |
