The meaning of the fifth variant, Γηιστών (or Γειστών), has yet to be established. In conformity with the pattern of the other inscriptions, however, that term probably should also be interpreted as a designation of provenance, even though its precise significance remains unclear.

Different tentative suggestions in Fol 1989a, 35, and Hind 1989, 40 and 43. Taking the initial Γ of the term as a λ in the paro-thasian script and Γειστών/Γηιστών as a genitive plural of 'λειστής/ληιστής ou de λειστός/ληιστός; (ou λειστόν/ ληιστόν), forme nominale de l'adjectif λειστός, -η, -όν,' Loukopoulou (1987) suggested that the legend in question denoted objects 'appartenant a Kotys, obtenus des brigands out provenant (du partage ou plut6t de la vente) d'un butin.'
