This is an older translation suggested by A.H Sayce, see 'The New Neo-Phrygian Inscriptions, Journal of Hellenic Studies, Vol. 46, Part 1' ΠΑΝΤΑΚΕΝΑΝΝΟΥ is actually 3 words that are read as 'ΠΑΝΤΑ ΚΕΝΑ ΙΝΝΟΥ'. Lubotsky translates the whole phrase 'ΑΣ ΑΝΑΝΚΑΙ ΟΙ ΠΑΝΤΑ ΚΕΝΑ ΙΝΝΟΥ' as 'let all his KENA be delivered to mischief'. Brixhe translates as 'let everything be empty' which if correct, has a striking similarity with the Greek phrase 'ΠΑΝΤΑ ΚΕΝΑ ΕΙΝΑΙ'. |
