Comments

ΙΜΑΝ seems to correspond the word ιερό (in a Greek text) which has a very broad meaning. It could simply refer to a religious idol/statue, which in that case means that ΙΜΑΝ derives from the Proto-Indo-European h₂eim- 'copy'.

It could however be a substrate word related to Urartian imeni 'foundation, base'.
